Tommy Crawford is a Vermont-based singer-songwriter and theater artist. He works around the country as an actor, composer, musician, and music director. Tommy's debut solo record Athena and the Moon garnered praise from 7 Days Vermont with Chris Farnsworth writing, "Crawford is an engaging songwriter and a talented multi-instrumentalist, and both are evident in abundance on Athena and the Moon." Prior to moving to Vermont, Tommy lived in New York City, where Tommy co-founded acclaimed folk band The Lobbyists. With them, he has been nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music in a Musical, been a finalist for the Jonathan Larson Award, and written songs called "marvelous" (NY Times), "terrific" (New Yorker), and "enchanting" (Entertainment Weekly). Since becoming a father in 2020, Tommy increasingly writes music for kids, and is working on a new album called Dirty Diapers (volume 2) -- songs for parents (and babies) about babies (and parents). Other current projects include a new musical about farming in Vermont. He plays original songs and traditional folk tunes in venues around Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and beyond.
