Monstera deliciosa, also known as the Swiss Cheese Plant or Split-leaf Philodendron, is a tropical species of climbing, evergreen perennial vine native to the jungles of Central America. Join Hunter for Monstera Mama 101 where you’ll plant your own baby Monstera in a fun, colorful planter! You’ll master the art of becoming the best Monstera mama by learning how to identify, prevent, and address common Monstera issues. You’ll also learn propagation techniques that will help you grow your Monstera collection!

Class includes a glass of rosé or herbal tea!

Instructor Bio:

We’re lucky to have Hunter teaching in the Vine School classroom! Hunter is originally from Michigan where she grew up on an elk farm, and fell in love with agriculture, food sustainability, and environmental science. Before moving to Vermont, Hunter devised climate resilience plans for rural, farming communities, studied Asian elephant behavior in Thailand, and created a small beeswax wrap company. She now studies food and agriculture law and policy at Vermont Law and Graduate School. Hunter is an avid outdoors-woman, plant and garden enthusiast, and dog mom to Layne - a totally deaf Australian Cattle mix. Hunter is always excited to learn something new and pass on knowledge and experiences to new friends! Hunter enjoys coordinating our events, tending the bar, and teaching classes at Putnam’s vine/yard!
