Wine School: Pop That Bubbly!
A sparkling wine class offers a journey through the effervescent world of bubbly wines from renowned regions across the globe. We’lll explore the production methods of sparkling wine, from traditional Champagne in France to Italy’s Prosecco and Spain’s Cava. The class will highlight the differences in grape varieties, fermentation techniques, and aging processes that give each style its unique character and flavor profile. We’ll also learn about lesser-known sparkling wines, such as Germany’s Sekt and the sparkling reds of Australia. This class will cover how to properly serve and store sparkling wine, as well as food pairing suggestions for a variety of occasions.

Instructor bio:
Victoria is originally from Montréal, Canada and recently moved to the Upper Valley from Southern California. An avid traveler, Victoria has always prioritized world renowned wine regions throughout her adventures. Victoria most recently spent 4 months living abroad in Spain, where she was able to venture to a few nearby wine regions including Rioja, Cava and Porto. She spent the 2022 Harvest in the Rhône Valley, France, assisting an organic and biodynamic vineyard in winemaking production. She recently completed her Level 3 Wine & Spirits Education Trust Certification and is currently pursuing the WSET Diploma. In her spare time you can find her watching documentaries, attempting to bake, or crafting!
