WINE SCHOOL: South American Wines
Wines from South American countries, notably Chile and Argentina, boast a rich and diverse heritage that has garnered global acclaim. Chile, with its ideal climate and diverse terroir, produces a wide array of wines, including bold Cabernet Sauvignons, elegant Carmenères, and crisp Sauvignon Blancs. Meanwhile, Argentina's renowned Malbecs thrive in the high-altitude vineyards of the Andes Mountains, showcasing intense flavors of dark fruits and velvety textures. Both countries benefit from innovative winemaking techniques and a commitment to sustainability, resulting in wines that reflect their unique landscapes and cultures.
Instructor Bio:
Victoria is originally from Montréal, Canada and recently moved to the Upper Valley from Southern California. An avid traveler, Victoria has always prioritized world renowned wine regions throughout her adventures. Victoria most recently spent 4 months living abroad in Spain, where she was able to venture to a few nearby wine regions including Rioja, Cava and Porto. She spent the 2022 Harvest in the Rhône Valley, France, assisting an organic and biodynamic vineyard in winemaking production. She recently completed her Level 3 Wine & Spirits Education Trust Certification and is currently pursuing the WSET Diploma. In her spare time you can find her watching documentaries, attempting to bake, or crafting!
