Enjoy a glass of wine + original songs with a few folk tunes mixed in by talented, local musicians Tommy Crawford and Jen Freise in the secret garden!
Tommy Crawford is a Vermont-based singer-songwriter and theater artist. He works around the country as an actor, composer, musician, and music director. Tommy's debut solo record Athena and the Moon, garnered praise from 7 Days Vermont with Chris Farnsworth writing, "Crawford is an engaging songwriter and a talented multi-instrumentalist, and both are evident in abundance on Athena and the Moon." In NYC in 2012, Tommy co-founded acclaimed folk band The Lobbyists. With them, he has been nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music in a Musical (SeaWife), been a finalist for the Jonathan Larson Award, and written songs called "marvelous" (NY Times), "terrific" (New Yorker), and "enchanting" (Entertainment Weekly). His latest project is Vermont Farm Project, a new indie folk musical commissioned by Northern Stage developed from interviews with farmers in the Upper Valley and beyond. Since becoming a father in 2020, Tommy increasingly writes music for kids, and is working on a new multi-volume album called Dirty Diapers -- songs for parents (and babies) about babies (and parents).
Jen Freise is an Upper Valley based fiddler and singer. A member of two local bands, Still Hill and Reckless Breakfast, Jen also enjoys accompanying original music and seeking out front porch, bar, backyard, and backcountry jam sessions.
