Tom Horton Davis is a full-time jazz guitar enthusiast and part-time cancer doctor. He has a fondness for jazz standards, old guitars, and playing with friends in the Upper Valley jazz community. We are honored to host Tom and friend at the vine/yard!
David Westphalen is a bassist and trombonist well known to the Upper Valley music community. His band SWING MACHINE is in demand for dances, community and Dartmouth College functions, weddings and other private events around northern New England.
After graduating from Tufts University with a music major, David taught music in public schools, then became a full-time musician, playing in many styles, including all types of jazz, blues and rock. For many years he balanced dual careers in business and music. David serves on the board of the educational non-profit, Interplay Jazz and Arts.
He enjoys teaching and playing in musical theater productions, and his many theater and performance credits include Northern Stage, Artistree Productions, Pentangle, Dartmouth College Theater, Dartmouth College’s Hopkins Center for the Arts, and JAG Productions.
