VINE SCHOOL: Spooky Terrarium Building Workshop - Create Your Miniature Haunted World

  • Putnam's vine/yard 188 South Main Street Hartford, VT, 05001 United States (map)

Join us for our Spooky Terrarium Building Workshop where you'll have the opportunity to craft your very own miniature haunted world inside a glass container. This unique workshop promises to be a ghoulishly good time, perfect for individuals, couples, and friends looking to embrace the spooky spirit of the season.

Vine School Instructor, Hunter, will guide you through the terrarium building process and provide tips and tricks for increasing the longevity of your tropical fern.

At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with your very own spooky terrarium masterpiece. It's not just a decorative piece; it's a conversation starter, a unique Halloween decoration, a source of pride in your DIY skills, and a commitment to keeping your fern alive for as long as you can! With proper care, your fern could live up to two or more years.

No prior terrarium-building experience required!

Class includes one of the following: glass of Vinho Verde, Pinot Noir, or Merlot; regional beer; pour over coffee; artisanal tea; or craft beverage.

Instructor Bio:

We’re lucky to have Hunter teaching in the Vine School classroom! Hunter is originally from Michigan where she grew up on an elk farm, and fell in love with agriculture, food sustainability, and environmental science. Before moving to Vermont, Hunter worked on climate resilience plans for rural communities, studied Asian elephant behavior in Thailand, and created a small beeswax wrap company. She now studies food and agriculture law and policy at Vermont Law and Graduate School, focusing on viticulture and winemaking. Hunter is an avid outdoors-woman, plant and garden enthusiast, and dog mom to Layne - a totally deaf Australian Cattle mix. Hunter is always excited to learn something new and pass on knowledge and experiences to new friends! Hunter enjoys coordinating our events, pouring wine behind the bar, and teaching classes at Putnam’s vine/yard!
