VINE SCHOOL: Succulent Pumpkins

  • Putnam's vine/yard 188 South Main Street Hartford, VT, 05001 United States (map)

There's no better way to embrace the onset of the fall season than by creating your own fall-inspired succulent masterpiece! Gather your friends and join our vine school instructor, Hunter, for an hour of succulent education and arranging + wine sipping (or tea)!

In this hands-on workshop, you'll craft a stunning, succulent arrangement in a 6 in. ceramic, pumpkin planter that embodies the spirit of autumn. Hunter will guide you through every step of the process from selecting the perfect succulents and arranging them for maximum growth and life to learning about their individual care requirements.

Class includes one of the following: glass of Vinho Verde, Pinot Noir, or Merlot; regional beer; pour over coffee; artisanal tea; or craft beverage

Instructor Bio:

We’re lucky to have Hunter teaching in the Vine School classroom! Hunter is originally from Michigan where she grew up on an elk farm, and fell in love with agriculture, food sustainability, and environmental science. Before moving to Vermont, Hunter worked on climate resilience plans for rural communities, studied Asian elephant behavior in Thailand, and created a small beeswax wrap company. She now studies food and agriculture law and policy at Vermont Law and Graduate School, focusing on viticulture and winemaking. Hunter is an avid outdoors-woman, plant and garden enthusiast, and dog mom to Layne - a totally deaf Australian Cattle mix. Hunter is always excited to learn something new and pass on knowledge and experiences to new friends! Hunter enjoys coordinating our events, pouring wine behind the bar, and teaching classes at Putnam’s vine/yard!
