Wine School: Anti-Som with Rachel

We’re debunking the elitism of the wine world and offering a more relational approach to what’s in our glasses. If you’ve ever felt intimidated by tasting notes or refined palates, this one’s for you –come to find out why you don’t need years of sommelier courses to have thoughtful opinions about the wine you drink!

Wine Flight Included:

  • Rhône-style White Blend: Troon Vineyards Druids Fluid White

  • Riesling: Maloof Where Ya PJs At?

  • Malbec: Domaine La Berangeraie Cahors 'Cuvee Juline'

  • Marquette: Shelburne Vineyards Marquette

Instructor Bio:

Rachel is a Dartmouth alumni (D’ 21) who just can’t stay away from The Upper Valley! She recently returned from a year living in Italy and we are thrilled to have her behind the bar and teaching classes at Putnam’s vine/yard on Wednesdays! A Geography major, Rachel, was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to complete a Master of Gastronomy: World Food Cultures and Mobility at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy. Through the grant, she was fully funded to spend a year in Italy studying food sustainability and sovereignty and getting hands-on experience with a variety of food systems. Rachel can be seen all over the Dartmouth campus, as well as advising the Dartmouth Sustainable Living Center.
