WINE SCHOOL: Old World Vs. New World
We’ll explore the fundamental differences in winemaking traditions, terroir, and grape varieties between Old World wine regions and New World wine regions.
Old World wines, originating from Europe, are known for their rich history, emphasizing tradition, and strict regulations governing production. You'll discover the elegance and subtlety in wines where the emphasis is on the "sense of place" or terroir, which imparts unique flavors influenced by climate, soil, and centuries of winemaking knowledge.
New World wines showcase a more innovative and bold approach to winemaking. These wines often highlight the specific grape varietals, showcasing the influence of climate and modern winemaking techniques, resulting in fruit-forward and approachable wines.
