While Port is world-renowned, Portugal is home to a wide range of unique and exceptional wines, thanks to its rich history and varied terroirs. In this class, we’ll delve into the country’s lesser-known but equally impressive regions, including the Douro Valley, Dão, and Vinho Verde, tasting a variety of wines made from indigenous grape varietals like Alvarinho, Touriga Nacional, and Baga. Discover how Portugal’s distinct landscapes, climate, and winemaking traditions shape the character of its wines. Instructor Bio:

Victoria is originally from Montréal, Canada and recently moved to the Upper Valley from Southern California. An avid traveler, Victoria has always prioritized world renowned wine regions throughout her adventures. Victoria most recently spent 4 months living abroad in Spain, where she was able to venture to a few nearby wine regions including Rioja, Cava and Porto. She spent the 2022 Harvest in the Rhône Valley, France, assisting an organic and biodynamic vineyard in winemaking production. She recently completed her Level 3 Wine & Spirits Education Trust Certification and is currently pursuing the WSET Diploma. In her spare time you can find her watching documentaries, attempting to bake, or crafting!
